Poor legal translation can only lead to misunderstanding, frustration, delay and mounting costs. The word-for-word translation must be meticulous, cutting out the looseness and ambiguity. For this reason, Global Lingo exclusively uses highly qualified translators with years of experience. Global Lingo tolerates nothing less than 100% accuracy, and nor should you.
Our team are very experienced in providing legal translation services from our offices in London and Leeds. We now also offer legal translation services in Singapore so no matter where you are in the world we can provide accurate legal translations.
“The team at Global Lingo were excellent throughout, providing a fast response to any query, turning around requests for content within tight time frames and adding value with their Usability service. We are now considering further projects with their support.”

Legal translation services you can trust
The members of Global Lingo’s project-management team are intimately familiar with their customer segments. Attuned as they are to the nuances of different demands, they can assign anything from the translation of oral evidence to the translation of marriage certificates to the right specialist.
Of course, translating words is only one part of delivering an accurate legal translation. As important is tackling the translation with an appreciation of the relevant legal systems, which is why we use in-country translators to eliminate confusion. Our project managers always determine the nature of the translation (for example, whether it’s a financial contract or a skeleton argument) before appointing a translator, matching needs, expertise and experience.
We have over 2,000 translators with specialist experience providing legal translation services across all our language combinations.
Notarised or Certified?
- A certified translation contains a statement from the translator that the translation is a true, accurate and correct rendering of the original document.
- A notarised translation is a certified translation with the translator’s statement notarised by a notary public, attesting that the translator believes the target-language text to be an accurate and complete translation of the source-language text.
These steps do not affect the quality of the translation, but serve to identify the translator and ensure traceability in case of any problems. As with any request, Global Lingo is willing and able to meet your needs for certified or notarised translation.
Security is of prime importance to Global Lingo
Our Legal clients require high levels of security both in terms of data and security of our employees. We take this very seriously too, we are known for our high quality language services and we intend to keep that reputation.
For this reason we have taken the decision that all our full-time team members will be CRB and credit checked every 12 months and that strict IT security guidelines are followed at all times for all our clients.
This means that no matter what the project you can rest assured that your information is safe with Global Lingo.
