Global Lingo Terms & Conditions Contractual Agreement The engagement between Global Lingo Ltd and its client will be on our standard terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. On request a written contract can be drawn up containing specific details of each assignment, including assignment dates, start and finish times, delivery schedules and expense arrangements. Cancellations Following receipt of confirmation from the client, any cancellations will be subject to a cancellation fee not exceeding the value of the order as it was quoted. Delivery Our usual method of delivery is by email, but it may be necessary with certain projects to deliver as hard copy. Whilst Global Lingo Ltd will take every care in the selection of its carriers, it cannot be held liable for loss of any document it dispatches or consequent loss or damage thereupon. Rates All rates quoted are specific to the assignment, due to the nature of work carried out by Global Lingo Ltd. Our written quotations shall remain valid for thirty days from the date on which they are provided. Quotations for material not seen by Global Lingo Ltd shall be subject to confirmation of price on receipt of the documents for translation or summary. Payment Payment is due within 30 days of receipt of invoice. Invoices are delivered only after mutual agreement that the job has been completed in the manner set out in the original quote. Payment can be made by way of bank transfer, postal order or cheque (with a valid guarantee card). Global Lingo reserves the right to charge a late payment fee of 10% following the invoice’s 30-day expiry. Further interest on overdue payments will be charged at a rate of 2% per week. Interest is calculated from the outstanding balance. Accuracy Whilst every attempt is made to ensure translations and transcripts are as accurate as possible, Global Lingo Ltd cannot guarantee 100% accuracy and shall not be held liable for any consequential loss or damage caused by any inaccuracy or difference of interpretation unless the error is such that no reasonably competent translator or writer could possibly have made it. All errors or defects in documents must be brought to the attention of Global Lingo Ltd within thirty days of receipt by the Client. Confidentiality All Global Lingo full-time employees, freelance employees and subcontractors are committed, by means of a written contract, to exercise absolute confidentiality with regard to the documents and information contained therein, or information gained through exposure to the client’s offices or staff. Whereas Global Lingo Ltd will take all reasonable measures to ensure the confidentiality of materials supplied by the client, it shall not be held liable for any loss sustained by the client through breach of confidentiality by Global Lingo Ltd or any of its contractors. Global Lingo Ltd reserves the right to sub-contract all or part of the work to a contractor of its choice. All Global Lingo documents are held securely on a dedicated and secure server, and any hard copies are disposed of by means of secure destruction. Global Lingo holds an electronic report archive of client documents, all of which are disposed of one year after being written. These general Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English Law. |
