News – President Bouch
2008.01.16

The perils of poor translation have been highlighted today by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil. As well as the obvious mistakes (President Bouch) from inaccurate transliteration, the same article emphasises the importance of only using translators native in the target language (‘He said that he shall discuss’, ‘Very high oil price represent an economic load’, etc.). Today’s other stories from the Ministry include a ‘weakly’ news service, an exhibition called ‘liDo Not Forgeft’, and comments from a ‘Vise Chairman’. Global Lingo takes great pride in only using translators who work into their mother tongues, ensuring no such infelicities of style.
