Expanding our offices in Leeds

Written by on

Things are going really well for us, so much so that we’ve expanded our operations in Leeds and opened a new office in the Leeds Innovation Centre, near the University. Initially this office will be the hub of our marketing and sales operations, with an initial staff of five and further expansion expected within the next six months.

The office will be headed up by Director of Marketing, Richard Michie, who commented “I’ve been based in Leeds since I joined Global Lingo, so the foundations for the office were already there. Early this year we decided to expand the team and we knew it would be difficult to achieve this in London, so Leeds was an obvious choice. I’ve lived in the city for three years now and Andrew Trotter, the Managing Director, completed his degree at the University so we knew a lot about Leeds. There’s also a great workforce available with the University language school and the other language companies having offices in the area.”

As well as Richard, the office will be the base for existing Senior Account Manager, Marian Arnold, who has moved back to Leeds after a few years away, and new Senior Account Manager, Paul Green. All three have years of experience in the language industry and are very excited to be expanding Global Lingo in the north.

“The Leeds office will be our marketing and sales hub, with the production side maintained in London, and because lots of our work is done on the phone and the internet we can still provide our clients with the high levels of service they have become used to”, added Richard.
