If he’s not making waves in the business world, Simon can probably be found ploughing through them on the ocean – he was skipper of Toshiba in the 1996/7 BT Global Challenge round-the-world yacht race, leading the crew to second place overall, and he has maintained his keen interest in yachting.
He joined Global Lingo in 2009 as non-executive director, and he draws on his vast range of experiences – from co-founding the organisation development consultancy talentsmoothie ltd in 2007 to leading Arctic and Antarctic expeditions – to give the company a new perspective on its operations.
In a stellar career, he has served as the Chief Executive and Managing Director of Challenge Business Inc., and as the Managing Director of Inspiring Performance. He is regularly invited to speak on the subject of leadership and team building in complex and challenging environments, and he was featured in Fast Company Magazine’s ‘Who’s Fast in 2001′ selection of 16 business leaders.
