Karin grew up in a small village in Germany. She began studying English and French after her father assured her that there would be jobs available in the language field. After finishing her education she worked in various industries, but three years ago she decided to try her hand as a full-time translator, and has not looked back since.

She can recall how, when she was young, a text for translation would arrive in the post; the translator would then take a dictionary and would begin typing the translation on a typewriter. Now things are quicker. Working for Global Lingo, she has found the process to be smooth and straightforward, with an account manager available to answer her queries and manage the job.
