Françoise has always been passionate about foreign languages, and can still recall how excited she was when she first had to choose a language to learn at primary school. She eventually chose German, and has subsequently worked in French, English and German for most of her life.
She studied English, German, Law and Economics at the Université d’Orléans in France. Between 1996 and 2001 she taught French and German at Alsager School; since 2002, having gained qualifications in both fields, she has worked as a freelance translator and interpreter.
She has taught languages at several schools during her career, and has gained translation and interpreting experience at X-rite as well as through freelance work. On average, she has translated 500,000 words per year in a variety of fields, including tourism, marketing, EEC/EU, transport, technology and engineering.
