Delivering fast, reliable and accurate transcription and translation
Global Lingo was founded by Andrew Trotter in 2006 (that’s him at the top of the page). He quickly identified that no company was delivering fast, reliable and accurate transcription and translation services as well as great customer service. Taking the bull by the horns Global Lingo was born.
Major client wins
Andrew began with a small team of transcribers and translators and by 2007 Global Lingo had several major clients, including BT, Goldman Sachs and Honda. Expansion came quickly so Global Lingo moved several times and in 2008 finally settled into two larger offices in Mayfair, London.
Rapid Growth
In 2010, the company grew rapidly, opening its Leeds office, and more than doubling in size as the demand from clients increased. Andrew decided that Global Lingo needed not only to expand its project management, writing and translating base, but also to add to its sales and marketing team.
This decision paid off as a number of new, high-profile clients came on board, including the World Economic Forum (WEF). The WEF engaged Global Lingo to provide transcription services, entailing a large volume of work with short deadlines. Thanks to our expanded base of full-time and freelance writers, we’re able to provide their highly publicised meetings with precise transcripts to be published on their websites, whenever they were required, usually with very tight deadlines, 24/7.
2010′s most significant development was the opening of Global Lingo’s office in Singapore, a great stepping stone to the Chinese market and better way to service our legal and financial clients based there.
In 2011, we aim to open several international offices in Europe and the US to cope with increased client demands round the clock.
What’s next?
We have big plans for our new financial year, keep an eye on us to see what happens!
